Cooling Options

The three cooling options available include:

  • Individual Window or Wall Units: Designed as temporary cooling systems for small areas and need to be removed/stored every year.
  • Central Cooling Systems (Air Conditioner): Provides continuous comfort throughout your entire home. High efficiency systems can reduce the amount of power you need to maintain comfort.
  • Heat Pumps: Heat pumps are reverse cycle air conditioners. They use a compression cycle system to supply heat or remove heat from a temperature controlled space.

The right accessories can improve the indoor air quality as well as the performance of your system. These include:

  • Electronic Air Cleaners: Removes airborne dust and helps to relieve allergies.
  • Humidifiers: Increases the amount of humidity in the home and helps decrease the risk of dry throats/sinuses, static discharge and cracking damage to wooden objects.
  • Attic Ventilators: Vents the heat trapped in an attic to the outside -- this saves energy used to cool your home in the warmer months.
  • Digital Set-Back Thermostats: Adjusts your heating or cooling system when the home is not occupied and helps save money on your heating/cooling bills.
  • New Supply Registers/Grills: New supply registers/grills can correct the air distribution in your home and enhance your home decor.
